DOH-Monroe Lifts Water Quality Health Advisory
John Pennekamp State Park Beach tests below unsafe level

Monroe, Fla. —The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County (DOH-Monroe) is lifting the advisory for high bacterial levels the following location:
Tests completed on Thursday, May 22, 2025, indicate that the water quality at John Pennekamp State Park Beach shows an acceptable level of Enterococcus bacteria established by state guidelines. Test results are available at FloridaHealth.gov/HealthyBeaches.
