DOH-MONROE CLOSED TUESDAY 9/27/22
In response to Hurricane Ian and for the safety of staff and clients, all offices at the Florida Department of Health in Monroe County will be closed on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. A decision will be made as soon as possible with regard to potential closure on Wednesday, September 28. If you have a disability or a special need such as a medical condition, it may be beneficial for you to register with your local emergency management office. All emergency management offices maintain a list of people within the community with a disability or a special need so they can be assisted quickly during an emergency. DOH-Monroe collaborates with local emergency management to provide in-county and out-of-county special needs sheltering services. Those with special medical needs can preregister and get more information at: www.monroecountyem.com/specialneeds. The Florida Division of Emergency Management offers an interactive online tool to help you develop an emergency plan for yourself, your family or your business. COVID Testing NOT Offered at the Health Dept, Pls. Call ahead Regarding Monkeypox.
The Florida Department of Health does not provide COVID-19 testing. Please visit monroe.flhealth.gov/testing to find out where you can get tested. If you have a question or concern about Monkeypox, please call ahead and do not come to the health department to get tested or receive a vaccine for the Monkeypox. Please call 305-340-9522.
