DOH-Monroe Hosts Breastfeeding Event

Monroe County, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County (DOH-Monroe) invites the public to attend the National Breastfeeding Month Educational Program on Monday, August 4, 2025.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at:

Monroe County Public Library, Marathon Branch

Community Room

3490 Overseas Highway

Marathon, FL 33050

The event will include an educational slideshow featuring breastfeeding moms and families to highlight the benefits of breastfeeding during National Breastfeeding Month.

Free educational resources will be provided to all attendees.

The Florida Keys Healthy Start Coalition is also providing free snacks (while supplies last) and educational resources to all attendees.

Preregistration is not required.    

Additionally, representatives from DOH-Monroe will also be present at the following community events this week to distribute free gift bags and educational resources for National Breastfeeding Month:
