Florida Department of Health in Monroe County

The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County runs four clinics, serving populations in the Lower, Middle, and Upper Keys: Gato Building (Key West) (temporarily relocated to Bernstein Park at: 6751 5th St. Stock Island, FL 33040), Ruth Ivins Center (Marathon) and Roth Building (Tavernier). Routine clinical services and programs include, but are not limited to: immunizations, WIC, Healthy Start, family planning, and HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention. Insurance and Medicaid are accepted; for those without insurance or Medicaid, charges are determined based on income.

WIC - Services currently offered telephonically or in person, by request. For an appointment in Marathon or Tavernier, call 305-676-3933. For an appointment in Key West, call 305-676-3852.

Immunizations - Offered in Key West, Marathon, Tavernier and Tuga Clinic locations by appointment only. Call 305-293-7500 to schedule.

Healthy Start - Appointments strongly encouraged; call 305-676-3841 to schedule appointment. Walk-ins OK in Key West only (currently at Bernstein Park 6751 5th St. Stock Island, FL 33040); office is open 8 a.m.– 5 p.m.
