Tuga Clinic Re-Opens on CFK Key West Campus
Collaboration on Stock Island Between The College of the Florida Keys,
Florida Department of Health in Monroe County, and Rural Health Network

Monroe, Fla. — The Tuga Clinic, which has been closed for the summer, will reopen on the College of Florida Keys (CFK) Key West campus on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. The clinic will be open on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a nurse on site and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a nurse practitioner provider on site.
The clinic will have special back-to-school hours during the first week of August to include school physical appointments from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, and Friday, August 8, 2025.

The Tuga Clinic, a Stock Island collaboration between The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County (DOH-Monroe), CFK, and Rural Health Network, originally opened in 2024. Data from the 2022 Stock Island Community Health Survey, conducted by DOH-Monroe, highlighted the need for affordable, accessible medical care on Stock Island.
The clinic provides general health services to CFK employees, students, and the public, including:
- School health physicals
- Occupational health physicals
- Primary care
- Family planning
- HIV testing and counseling
- PrEP
- STI testing and treatment
- Narcan education and distribution
- Smoking cessation
- Substance use education and referrals
“We are excited to re-open the Tuga Clinic to provide a wide range of important health services conveniently located where our residents live, work, and play,” saidDr. Carla Fry, PhD, MSN, RN, administrator and health officer, DOH-Monroe.
Rural Health Network will send practitioners to the Tuga Clinic for specific pre-scheduled clinic dates that will be announced to the community.
