DOH-Monroe Hosts Key West “Health To You” Event

Service Industry-Focused Event on Duval Street

Monroe, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County (DOH-Monroe) is hosting a free “Health To You” community event on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from noon-4 p.m. at the following location:

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
401 Duval St
Key West
 

All attendees will receive a $10 food gift card for their participation while supplies last.

“We are excited to bring ‘Health To You’ to Duval Street to make it easier for the people working in the service industry to gain access to the many free products and services we offer at DOH-Monroe,” said Dr. Carla Fry, PhD, MSN, RN, administrator and health officer, DOH-Monroe

DOH-Monroe staff members will be on hand to provide the following services, all free of charge. No health insurance or registration is required. 

  • Health screenings.
    • Blood pressure.
    • Glucose/sugar testing.
    • HIV home test kits.
  • Immunizations 
  • Free bike helmet fittings and giveaways.
  • Narcan nasal spray.
  • Smoking cessation assistance (including free nicotine patches and gum).
  • Health insurance assistance.

In addition to the above services, many other Monroe County community organizations will be there to share information about their available services. There will also be a raffle for door prizes.
