Health Department Promotes Emily Rapposelli to Epidemiology Program Manager

(Monroe County, Fla) – The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County (DOH-Monroe) is pleased to announce the promotion of Emily Rapposelli, MMed, BS, NRCMA, to Epidemiology Program Manager.

In her new role as Epidemiology Program Manager, Rapposelli will oversee and aid in the investigation of reportable and communicable diseases through disease surveillance and reporting, case investigations and outbreak investigations.  She is also responsible for implementing control measures aimed to interrupt disease transmission or lessen adverse health impacts throughout Monroe County.

“Emily was a great addition to our team last year, and we are so pleased to expand her responsibilities with this promotion,” said DOH-Monroe Administrator and Health Officer Dr. Carla Fry, PhD, MSN, RN.  “Her scientific knowledge, leadership and communication skills are a great fit for this important role.”

Before joining DOH-Monroe in March of 2022, Rapposelli worked in the Epidemiology field for four years after receiving her undergraduate degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Then she earned a master’s degree in Molecular Medicine and is currently pursuing her PhD.
