National HIV Testing Day Observed in Monroe County

 July 01, 2017 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM In addition to our July 1st event at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center/Pool from 4pm to 7pm, DOH-Monroe will also be offering Clearview Rapid HIV Testing starting Monday, June 26 through Friday, June 30.

Testing from June 26 through June 30 will be conducted at the Gato Building at 1100 Simonton Street in Key West. Special event takes place on July 1, 4pm to 7pm at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center and Pool at 300 Catherine Street in Key West.

In light of National HIV Testing Day, June 27, the Florida Department of Health in Monroe County (DOH-Monroe) will be providing HIV testing services at no cost to anyone interested in getting tested that week at the Gato Building in Key West at 1100 Simonton Street. 

In addition, in partnership with AIDS Help, Inc., DOH-Monroe will be having a special HIV testing day at the Martin Luther King Community Center and Pool on Saturday, July 1 from 4 pm to 7 pm.  We will also be giving out $10 Publix gift cards to participants while supplies last.   National HIV Testing Day is observed each year to encourage HIV testing and increase awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS in the United States.  For more information, call (305) 809-5665 or email DOHMonroe@flhealth.gov.

 

Testing is also offered weekly at the Gato Building in Key West every Monday and Wednesday from 9am to noon and 1pm to 3pm on a walk-in basis at no cost.
